Hello Readers, I hope you’re well.
Welcome to Episode 33 of the UCStatus Podcast. This episode features me (@randychapman), Mark Vale (@MarkVale83) & Shawn Harry (@shawnharry) and this week we are joined by a very special guest, Tom Arbuthnot (@tomarbuthnot).
This week we chat about communications in the consumer space. As Microsoft welcomes Manik Gupta (@manikgupta) as the new Corporate Vice President (CVP) in charge of Microsoft Teams Consumer, Skype, GroupMe.
We chat about the different communication and collaboration tools in the consumer space, from MSN in the old days, to Skype and newer platforms like WhatsApp and FaceBook Messenger. We try to figure out where tools like Skype and now Microsoft Teams for Home fit in this crowded space. And offer our take on what Microsoft (and indeed Manik) could consider in order to make Teams Consumer truly successful.
Have a listen and let us know what you think. We had a lot of fun in this episode, as always. We hope you like it.
As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave a comment below.
